Choir director: -starts playing a Chicago song after a discussion about major major 7th chords-
Band director: -walks in, starts singing, choir director stops after a bit-
Me: It's a good thing you're a band teacher..
Band director: Psh. I was selected for the All-state choir 1991, I'll have you know!
Me: That's been quite a while ago now, hasn't it...
Band director: and I've won several karaoke contests since then!
Me: Were they at bars?
Band director: ...They might have been...
Me: That would certainly help...
